Colin Luges!

How it’s going…
Colin has now completed three weeks of training this winter in Lake Placid and is doing great! His first session of camp was at the end of October into November for two weeks. There wasn't much snow, but they did wheels training and got on the ice once.
However, the first week of training in December was a different story! With temps in the teens and twenties, the team got to the track each day and had a total of 25 runs. Colin’s best time was a blistering 48.667…which is wild! He's getting better and better and most importantly, staying safe and injury free.
He’s pictured here in his official Team USA jacket! The entire USA Luge team from Olympians to the Junior D team have the same jacket, so it’s pretty cool to see Colin and his teammates sporting these awesome jackets.

Background
Colin’s leap into luge began in May 2023 when he tried luge for the second time at an event in Columbus, OH. He was invited to Lake Placid later that year, and from there, he was chosen as a member of the Junior Development (D) Team for the 2024-2025 season.
He is officially in the Olympic training pipeline!
Some of the videos below are from his February 2024 Lake Placid Screening camp and his 2023 May luge tryout.
